For those that still prefer to seek help from 3rd party sources, there are some great Xbox repair guides around that will tell you how to fix your xbox in 2 hours or less. All you need is a few simple tools and the ability to follow instructions.

How To Fix Xbox 360 Problems
Do you want to know how to fix Xbox 360 problems, without re-mortgaging your house?A bit of an exaggeration I know, but going to a recognised Microsoft repair center is not a cheap option (would you expect a service from Microsoft would be anything else?)
The point is that most people do not know how to fix their xbox 360 problems, and do not know where to start looking. That really means that the Xbox service centers can charge what they like, because people have no option. Or do they?
